Services

We undertake research and data collection, offer consultancy services to SMEs and Development Agencies and provide training to development groups, producers and rural actors.

Research and Data Collection
Services We Provide include: Project Evaluation and Policy Research, Survey Design and Data Collection, Research Assessment and Interpretation, Program Performance and Data Management
Training and Extension Services
Training opportunities are provided for rural enterprises such as in bee-keeping, tree growing, tree nursery management, fishing, modern dairy and animal rearing. Training activities are also carried out on issues relating to book-keeping, business inventory and financial analysis and enterprise growth.
Business Development and Consultancy
CIDR helps business proprietors to focus on the issues, identify coping strategies and fulfill their potential. We offer Business Registration and Start-up Assistance, Staff Training and Professional Business Development. We work with individuals and groups, providing the option of review meetings and support over an extended period to chart progress.
Workshops and Symposiums
The CIDR initiates symposia and invites public lectures from leading scholars and professionals in the fields of economic, business and rural development.

Cooperation and Collaboration

In pursuing its objectives, the CIDR works in partnership with selected institutions, leading local and international NGO's in carrying out a combination of collaborative field-work. Researchers at the Centre collaborate for research, training and outreach, with the following bodies:
